[[-Iterations] <Int32>] [-ProgressAction <ActionPreference>] [<CommonParameters>]

DESCRIPTION

Generates a hash of an string object

EXAMPLES

EXAMPLE 1

Get-StringHash -Strings 'ThisIsAComplicatedPassword123#' -Algorithm SHA512
Hashes the string specified

PARAMETERS

-Strings

Defines the array of strings to generate hashes of

Type: String[]
Parameter Sets: (All)
Aliases:

Required: True
Position: 1

Defines that a random salt should be used

Type: SwitchParameter
Parameter Sets: (All)
Aliases:

Required: False
Position: Named
Default value: False
Accept pipeline input: False
Accept wildcard characters: False

-Iterations

Defines the number of rehashing operations that is performed.

Type: Int32
Parameter Sets: (All)
Aliases:

Required: False
Position: 4
Default value: 10
Accept pipeline input: False
Accept wildcard characters: False

-ProgressAction

{{ Fill ProgressAction Description }}

Required: False
Position: Named
Default value: None
Accept pipeline input: False
Accept wildcard characters: False
